Our Staff

Pastor Matt serves as the Revitalization Pastor with a deep passion for preaching the Word of God, shepherding people well, and seeing churches renewed for God’s glory. He has served in pastoral ministry for over 16 years and holds an undergraduate degree, a Master of Divinity in Church Leadership, and a Doctor of Ministry in Church Revitalization from Liberty University. His heart for ministry is centered on helping individuals grow as disciples of Jesus and guiding churches to become healthy, gospel-focused, and outward-looking communities that love God and love their neighbors.

Pastor Matt is married to his wife, Brittany, and together they have three daughters; Mirabella, Breya, and Elora. Family is a central part of his life and ministry, and he often draws from family experiences as meaningful illustrations of God’s faithfulness. Outside of ministry, the Coyne family loves traveling together and is on a long-term goal to visit all 63 U.S. National Parks. The Coyne family is blessed to be part of HBC they look forward to building relationships, hearing people’s stories, and walking together as God continues His work in and through the church.
